Space Cadet shifted focus and energies into space exploration in 2103 With the discovery of the rare plant species Cannabaceae. The Company’s mission was to share the benefits of this strange new plant with the rest of humanity. Known for this plant's medicinal and state altering properties, refined directly from its flower, Cannabaceae can be found on far away worlds where near perfect conditions can get this plant species to grow.

Captain James Raynor, is a celebrated Space Cadet Officer, diplomat, humanitarian, and botanist, continuing excellent service throughout the 21st century. The highlights of his career were centered around assignments as commanding officer of the Interstellar Ship, the Stargazer. In this role, James not only witnessed major turning points of recent galactic history, but played a key role in them also.

Known for her first Intergalactic craft landing while high on Flower, Sarah Karrigan is a highly decorated Pilot, Arborist, and cat lover. Her orange tabby, Jonesy, can be often found by her side either floating in zero gravity, or sunbathing on the circumtriple planet Artanis. Sarah, married to the Stargazer’s lead Botanist Dutch Ripley, is a 19th century race car enthusiast and often experiments with stunt flying on the Stargazer’s shuttle crafts.
